The Happy Catholic Box was absolutely fantastic.
Owner Elizabeth Outzs asked to a send a box my way for review. A darling package chock full of holy, beautiful stuff meant to move my heart closer to Jesus? Hmm…yes please.
The fun started when I saw a delivery that wasn’t diapers gracing my doorstep. For me??
Carefully opening it, I was delighted at the obviously intentional presentation. All items were packed neatly and wrapped in bright tissue paper, sealed with a Happy Catholic Box sticker, and complete with a personal note from Elizabeth herself.
I gasped the moment of the big reveal. The inside contents gave no hint of being tossed around by the USPS and I was surprised both at the variety of things and how they all seemed so relevant to me.
A Mass Journal? YES because Fr. Peter’s rockstar homilies leave me nodding the whole time and wishing I had paper on me to jot down a point or two.
Buttermint Chocolate Cookies made by Benedictine sisters? Heaven. They disappeared quickly. Like, strangely quickly.
It was all so fun – seeds to plant herbs (because I love me some cilantro), a pair of cute and trendy button earrings, a bookmark. {You can find details behind each item here!} There was a wide variety in April’s box. I learned that March’s edition featured Audrey Assad’s latest album Inheritance and that May’s box focused on Mary (see below!).
Of all the featured items inside April’s edition of the HCB, I was most interested in their general usefulness. If you’ve followed the blog or know me personally, you know that I like to keep things simple around here and I’m happy to report that none of this stuff is just laying around. It’s all been put to fabulous use. Even if I couldn’t use one or two things personally, Catholic items are a cinch to gift or donate! and they’re such a blessing to others.
So who’s game for a GIVEAWAY?? The winner will receive June’s Happy Catholic Box near the beginning of next month!
