This is just plain exciting, sweet friends.
I’m thrilled to announce that I will be offering a Lenten parish mission in New Orleans this spring! The mission, which will focus on the domestic church – Jesus Christ, marriage, children and then some, will be at Mater Dolorosa. I’ve accepted pastor Rev. Herb Kiff’s gracious invitation and I’m jazzed to explore NOLA for the very first time and enjoy the company of who I’m told over and over are some fabulous Catholics.
What’s the best part?? I’m not coming alone.
I’ll be delivering all talks with the most dashing and theologically eloquent man there is – Andrew Sciba to be exact (be still my heart!). While I delight in speaking and writing about the domestic church on my own, it’s much more fulfilling with my Better Half by my side. We make a great team. And we’re bringing The Catholic Kids with us! We’re crazy, but it will be awesome.
Join us!!! Won’t you? I’d just love to hug any of you wonderful readers and exchange an Oh my goodness, HI!!
And speaking of teamwork – Andrew and I recently created a brief promotional video. The short minute and 39 seconds was a huge labor of love – my time developing the first talk in the series I’m giving the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans and his painstaking hours shooting, editing light, sound, and learning new software; it all came together in this. {See my updated Speaking page – I’m currently booking for 2016!}
PLUS this week we shot two video blogs – a new feature here that will debut in a couple of weeks! You can subscribe on YouTube or wait to find them here.
AND one of my book projects continues to progress. I’ll keep you posted on that when we near our finish line. Please pray for us! (Yes us – this book is a collaborative effort by some really Beautiful wives)
Whew!!! Lots going on. Please pray for me! That I will know and have the courage to do what the Holy Spirit wills.
God does not inspire us to do what cannot be done.”
