There is safety in Mary.
Certainty. Hope.
We can offer ourselves as handmaids to the Queen of Heaven because she always points to the work her Son asks.
“Why put her in the middle? Why can’t I go to Jesus directly?” You can. You should. But know it’s not only acceptable to go through Mary to Jesus, it’s also an imitation of Christ Himself because she is the very way He chose to come to us.
Thank you to sweet, wonderful reader Paulette for sending this line for Monday Morning!

Love this!
I think a lot of Catholics don’t realise or don’t know why Mary is so important to us. And conversely, a lot of non-Catholics just don’t get Mary. Your post is accessible for everyone ☺️

Thank you so much, Natalie! I think it makes so much sense to have a devotion to Mary. It doesn’t have to be complicated.
Thank you for your kind words!

So simply and profoundly stated! Because he chose to come to us through her in the first place and we are called to imitate Him. Love it, Katie! God bless!

Thank you, Amanda! God bless you, too!!! Fingers crossed we can actually meet someday 🙂

After going through the 33 Days to Morning Glory program, it really just blew open my whole idea of Mary. She is now my go-to for everything, which seems strange after so many years of being a Jesus centered Protestant. But it really is amazing what a relationship with our Blessed Mother can do!
Katie Sciba says
Agreed!!! My relationship with Mary enhances and compliments my relationship with Christ – never taking away from it. Wouldn’t you say the same? And when I feel far from either one, it just takes steady conversation with the other to bring me back.
I’m so grateful to have your thoughts here, Sterling! And thanks for reminding me about 33 Days! MUST. RESUME.
