I know – it’s not even Thanksgiving yet; but when it comes to Christmas shopping, I like to get a leg up else I’m struck with the deer-in-the-procrastinating-lights look.
Today I’m thrilled to feature three Etsy Shops owned by Catholics, all of whom are mighty blessed with some beautiful talents; and among these three, you’ll easily cover the grown-ups, very little ones, and bloggers in your life with gifts ideal for their souls and work.
One of the best aspects of small business shopping is that you know you’re getting a product with heart behind it; and in turn, your payment supports families and someone’s personal ambitions directly. I’m honored to highlight these women because they diligently work to share their gifts online; AND each shop owner is offering a coupon code THECATHOLICWIFE just for you fabulous readers when you purchase today through Monday (11/12/15-11/16/15)! Etsy giftcards are accepted at each store.
For Grown-Ups: Portraits of Saints Etsy Shop
I am blown away by the talent in this shop. Headed by a team of sisters, Dixie & Tracy, and additional friends, Portraits of Saints has been online for 4 years. The images offered at Portraits of Saints are stunning and beautifully done, all original work by Tracy L. Christianson. Not too flowery, not too hard, the portraits here feel real as though you’re looking at the saint himself (or herself!). That’s the best part – Dixie & Tracy keep evangelization at the core of their business.
My favorite picture here is Stella Maris – Our Lady Star of the Sea; I keep a holy card with this image on the cover of my homeschooling planner; it’s my very favorite title for Mary.
Gifts Available: Home, holy cards, fine art prints, icons, holy water fonts, crosses, crucifixes, diptychs & triptychs, arched plaques

For Little Ones: The Little Rose Shop
For tiny Catholics, here is a shop perfect for quiet and safe toys. Raquel Kato says that crafting is the way she prays, thinks, and refreshes her soul. I love her Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary dolls, which are her specialty! The Mass book she makes is perfect for little ones whom you might want to stay busy, but focused on all things Jesus during the sacred liturgy.
“I love the idea of bringing Jesus, Mary and the Saints into the lives of children through everyday play,” Raquel told me. “These dolls assist parents in building up their domestic church – now their children are having tea parties with Mary, snuggling with Jesus, watching movies with St. Francis, and dragging St. Therese along to the park. What a great way for children to start growing in their spiritual journey – by simply playing with Jesus and calling Him a friend.”
Gifts Available: Cloth dolls, cloth Mass book, aromatherapeutic rice packs, carseat covers, and hair clips.

For Bloggers: Little Flower Studios
Susana Starbuck specializes in images fantastic for bloggers or graphic designers. Her desktop, floral, and fruity pictures are fresh and current, definitely adding a stylish flare to any image production.
When I asked Susana about the purpose and thought behind her shop she told me, “Little Flower Studios was named after St. Therese of Lisieux because of her love for beauty in the small things. I love bringing that same mindset to every project I do. Whether it’s styling an event, doing custom stock photos, or helping a small business with their product photography, I’m doing my best to honor her ‘little way.'” Beautiful.
